Our Vision
To be A Community that Experiences and Expands the Gospel.
Our Core Values
Gospel-Centered Worship
“Focused on Jesus and making Disciples”
Many Americans have left the church or are skeptical of the church because it has become more centered on politics, entertainment, self-improvement, or the preacher’s own ideas, than it was on God’s word and the central message of the Gospel. We are committed to gathering weekly to worship God and celebrate the Good News through reading and preaching from the Bible, prayer, singing, and celebrating the Lord’s Supper. We are weekly built up in the truth that God is for us not because of our performance but because we are forgiven and accepted through the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. By his transforming grace, we are empowered to learn and live out what it means to follow him in our everyday lives.
Gospel-Shaped Community
“A place where people know your name.”
Jesus creates a community that is different from anything else in the world. It breaks down the many walls that divide people into different tribes: politics, race, economic status, you name it. His church is a place for us to be known, loved, and belong. The church is a place where people know your name, and where it is ok to not be ok. It is a community that prays for each other. In an increasingly isolated and often inauthentic world, we are committed to pursuing relationships within the church that reflect the power of the Gospel to form a community that is known by love for each other.
Gospel-Fueled Outreach
“Loving neighbor through service and witness”
The Gospel news is so good, so important, it cannot be kept inside the four walls of our homes and churches. As those who have received the amazing grace of God in the Gospel, we long to live lives in word and deed that are both salt and light to those around us. As we follow Jesus, we seek to live out the ethic “So then, as we have opportunity, let us do good to everyone… (Gal 6:10)” We give of our time, talent, and treasure to help mitigate in some small ways the sadness and suffering that is everywhere around us in our neighborhoods, communities, and our world. We take every opportunity to share the hope we have in Christ and invite others to follow him.
